Gelorendog is a unique product for the comprehensive nutrition of dogs’ joints and tendons. Its composition with five active ingredients makes it the ideal support for the entire musculoskeletal system. It contains Nutrihyl®, specially modified hyaluronic acid for joint nutrition, chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine, hydrolysed collagen and gelatine.

Dogs love smoked-ham flavoured Gelorendog gelatine tablets. The simple dosing makes it easy to check the daily intake of active ingredients. As the jelly need not be mixed with feed, there is none of the loss typical for powders and syrups.

Composition

Hyaluronic acid is one of the main constituents of the extracellular matrix and is a natural part of all connective tissue in the body. Consequently, it is an important component of cartilage and joint fluid, where it acts as a lubricant and shock absorber. Hyaluronic acid inhibits the degradation of the articular cartilage and has anti-inflammatory effects.

Chondroitin sulphate gives cartilage elasticity and restores the balance in joint fluid. It is an important building block of articular cartilage and other connective tissue – bones, tendons and ligaments. Moreover, it prevents the degradation of collagen, proteoglycans and aggrecan and thus maintains the integrity of the extracellular space.

Glucosamine provides a link between the bone and cartilage. Glucosamine affects joint metabolism, contributes to articular cartilage regeneration, and reduces inflammation and pain in the joints. Gelorendog delivers a supporting substance that dogs naturally obtain, for example, from chewing bones.

Hydrolysed collagen, a highly absorbable form of collagen, is the main building block of cartilage, tendons and ligaments. It accelerates the regeneration of connective tissue, positively affecting the quality of hair, skin and nails. It is also presumed to reduce pain in the joints and improve their functionality.

Gelatine plays a vital role in the formation and regeneration of connective tissue and in joint and cartilage nutrition. It is also an important source of the amino acids glycine and proline, substances important for collagen formation.

Gelorendog packaging and dosage

One pack contains 90 chewable tablets, representing one month’s dosage for a medium-sized dog.

Gelorendog is intended for:

  • young dogs predisposed to joint problems
  • large and fast-growing breeds
  • sporting and working dogs, dogs with a high exertion rate
  • dogs post-surgery and during convalescence
  • geriatric and overweight dogs

The normal dose of Gelorendog chewable tablets ranges from two to five tablets, depending on the size of the dog. For maximum efficacy, we recommend administering for 60 consecutive days. Treatment should be repeated two or three times a year. For the faster onset of the effect or if arthritic difficulties are more severe, double the regular dose in the first week.

Proven efficacy

The efficacy of Gelorendog has been tested on 19 dogs with mobility problems. After two months’ use of Geloren, motor improvement was observed in 79% of dogs. The study also indicates that the effects of Geloren have a very rapid onset, with the first improvements evident after just 14 days of use. Breeders also noticed that Geloren has a positive impact on the quality of hair and nails.

Gelorendog has been developed and is made by Czech company Contipro. The recipe is based on a high content of active ingredient successfully used by veterinarians in the form of the drug Bonharen. Bonharen is used for the treatment of osteoarthrosis, osteoarthritis and other joint problems. The main function of both products (Geloren and Bonharen) is to supplement hyaluronic acid in the joints and thereby increase their regeneration, lubrication and protection.
